Trackday Experiences
From a gentle first-time experience of a race track in a high performance car, to rigorous coaching from our team, Polaris trackdays have something for you.
We structure our trackdays to make sure that you have the best balance between driving time, coaching and rest. So that you can maximise your experience and realise your full racing potential.
Our trackdays start with an internal drivers briefing - a chance for us to get to know you and figure out what you want from your day.
This is followed by passenger laps with our coach behind the wheel - A chance for you to get an idea of where to start.
You then have several 15 minute sessions behind the wheel yourself, with a coach alongside you to help you gain confidence and improve across the day.
A 1 Hour Lunch Break gives you a chance to recover and review some video footage of your earlier sessions
The day ends with a final set of passenger laps. A chance to see what the car is really capable of - Try not to scream!
If you are not looking to have exclusive use of the car, why not book into one of our advanced trackdays? These trackdays are tailored to those drivers who are looking to race with us in the near future or are looking to sharpen up their skills at a particular circuit.
Our advanced trackdays require a minimum of 3 drivers to go ahead. If you don't have 2 friends who are willing to join you, let us know and we can find some like-minded racing enthusiasts to ensure your trackday can go ahead.

Frequently asked questions
What are the specs of our VX220?
Our Vauxhall VX220 weighs 830 kg, has 250BHP and will hit 60 mph in 4 seconds. Semi-slick tyres and race-spec brake discs/pads generate insane grip and fantastic braking performance.
Do I need racing gear?
For general trackdays in the UK, a racing suit is not required. However, your arms and legs must be fully covered and you must not be wearing open footwear.
Helmets, full-face or open-face, must be worn by drivers and passengers. Helmets can be rented from Polaris or the circuit venue.
Do I need trackday insurance?
All Polaris trackday events are insured and this is included in the prices above. However, there is an excess of £1200 in the event of damage to the car.
How old do I have to be?
We require all trackday drivers to be 17 years old and hold a full drivers license. Passengers must be 14 years or above.
How good to I need to be to take part?
Polaris trackdays are open to drivers of all skill level. Our coaches will slowly build you into a day so that you don't feel overwhelmed and are, most importantly, kept safe throughout the day
How common are crashes?
With any form of motorsport, there is always the chance of a collision. But, by being aware and following your instructor's advice, you can bring that chance down to virtually 0%. Most regular trackday goers will complete dozens of trackdays without damage.
What happens if I spin the car?
If you spin the car, you will have to head back to the pits and take a short break. Your instructor will have a chat with you to make sure that you understand what went wrong before you are allowed back out on track.
In the event of a crash with another object or car, a decision will be made on the day as to whether the car is repairable and whether the day can continue.
How happens if the car breaks down?
Our cars have been meticulously prepared and maintained by MMG Performance to reduce the chance of a mechanical failure. In the unlikely event of a break down, we will do our utmost to repair the car on the day and get you back out on circuit as quickly as possible. Sadly, we cannot guarantee any refunds.
How many drivers do I share with?
Our Advanced Trackdays are shared between 3 or 4 drivers. Considering circuit delays such as red flags, each driver will usually have about 4 20-minute sessions out on track.
How long is a trackday?
Trackdays generally begin at 9:30am and end at 5pm, with a one hour circuit break for lunch. Please note that winter events end at sunset and that track time may be limited in the event of red flags on circuit.
